STGA Hosts Seminar ft. Dr. Rui Guoxing, Dr. Winnie Yip, & An Wang Fellows

On Friday morning, STGA hosted our second seminar of the year, featuring sharings from Dr. Rui Guoxing of JITRI, Dr. Winnie Yip, and An Wang Fellows, Dr. Claudia Huang and Dr. Yusi Aveva Xu. Dr. Rui Guoxing presented about the new software his team is developing to train elderly caregivers all across China. Following remarks from Dr. Winnie Yip about Meaningful Aging, Dr. Claudia Huang presented findings from her dissertation on the social relations of the Chinese dancing grannies phenomenon in China. Dr. Yusi Aveva Xu presented findings from her research on the benefits of social media for elderly living in empty-nest situations.
